In December 2023, the Government of Canada announced the implementation of the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), which aims at reducing the costs of dental care for Canadian residents who meet all 4 eligibility requirements. All eligible Canadians can now apply for the CDCP. In December 2025, updates were made to the services covered under the CDCP. The detailed list of current covered services, limitations and exclusions, can be found within the CDCP Guide at: canada.ca/dental-guide.
Eligible individuals can apply for CDCP through the online portal. Those who are unable to apply using the internet are invited to contact the CDCP call center at 1-833-537-4342 or 1-833-677-6262 (TTY) for assistance.
CDCP members need to renew coverage each year to confirm that they continue to meet all eligibility requirements. For information about deadlines for renewing coverage, visit canada.ca/dental.
