Health Care Help for Newcomers

Supporting Newcomers is one of the NWT OHT’s key priority areas, aimed at addressing the unique health and access barriers faced by immigrant and refugee communities. To support this work, the Newcomer Navigation Working Group was created to help meet the navigation needs of newcomers. As part of this work, we developed the Health Care Help for Newcomers information sheets to assist newcomers, refugee claimants, and non-status individuals in navigating our complex healthcare system.
