The North Western Toronto OHT is hosting a training opportunity!

This session introduces the foundations of mindfulness and how it supports stress reduction and resilience. Participants will experience practical, evidence‑based mindfulness exercises to build present‑moment awareness, manage stress, and strengthen emotional regulation, drawn from programs like Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).

Rhea Plosker RSW RP is a Registered Social Worker, Registered Psychotherapist, and leadership coach working in private practice in Toronto, Ontario. She meets requirements for a clinical supervisor as defined by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and is an MBSR and MBCT mentor for facilitators in training.

Rhea has facilitated more than 50 MBSR, MBCT, and MBCT-Cancer groups. She designed Mindfully Managing Anxiety and Uncertainty, an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) group program and frequently runs ACT workshops for allied health professionals. Rhea is also a program leader with Wellspring Cancer Support, offering Mindfulness programs to those living with Cancer. Rhea holds certificates in: CBT for Anxiety and Depression, Solution Focused Therapy, and is a Certified Intuitive Eating counsellor. She has extensive training and supervision in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Narrative Therapy.

Social Work and psychotherapy is Rhea’s second career, following a corporate career as an engineer, technology executive and consultant. She continues her corporate work as a tutor and facilitator in Getsmarter’s Oxford University Women’s Leadership Development Programme.
